Problems = Growth
Do you ever dream about a day when you won’t have to deal with problems?
I used to think that once I made more money and had more success I would have fewer problems. Now…I know…that’s not how it works.
Problems never stop. And actually…that’s a good thing.
Today, I’m grateful for all the problems I’ve faced as a real estate investor.
That was not the case at the beginning when my emotions were so tied up in everything that went wrong (lol).
I had this single-family home I bought early on that almost broke me. I got it for $50,000. I renovated it and really made it beautiful.
Then my first tenant moved in with dogs that destroyed the brand-new floors I’d just put in!
I was crushed. I cried for a week. I called my dad sobbing, saying…“I can’t do this anymore. I’m gonna quit. Why did I even start real estate investing?”
ONE problem nearly made me walk away from real estate completely.
Now? If that happened today, my reaction would be…“Ok. We need new floors.”
I wouldn’t be so wrapped up in the emotion of it. I would just move into the solution.
Like when I started investing in bigger deals and half of one of my apartment buildings burned down, while I was out of the country hosting my first Hotel Investor Academy Mastermind.
I was amazed. I got off the call and thought…“Ok. What’s the first step of the solution?”
That’s the shift I want to share with you. That’s the shift that comes from walking through the problems that almost break you. That’s why your mindset matters more than your problems.
Problems don’t disappear with success. They just evolve. And if you don’t quit…You evolve with them.
Clarity doesn’t come from overthinking. It comes from action.
