skill comes from sticking with the problem

I get asked a lot how I learned to do my own renovations.

The answer isn’t glamorous.

It was necessity.

I didn’t have the money to pay contractors. I didn’t know another option. But I was determined to make real estate work. Really…I was determined to build the life I wanted.

So I figured it out.

Most people don’t try. Not because they can’t. But because the default story in their head is, “I’m not good at this.”

I used to say that too.

You’re not bad at it. You just haven’t stayed with it long enough.

Every tutorial is online. Every answer is searchable. But skill doesn’t come from watching. It comes from trying, failing, and sticking with the problem long enough to solve it.

Not just in renovations. In anything.

One of my favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein:

“It’s not that I’m so smart. I just stay with problems longer.”

That’s it.

You are a lot more capable than you think.

P.S. this pic is super glamorous right? lol

I used to think I had to work my way into the bigger deals. Then I realized, I didn’t have to wait to go after what I really wanted. I just had to shift my thinking. So I did. And it changed everything.
Thinking bigger, sooner has allowed me to…
  • Close over $100M in deals (and counting)
  • Built a lucrative personal/professional brand
  • Become a thought leader in the industry
