the in-between moments matter
When I was renovating my first single-family homes, I was working as a waitress.
Every weekend, I’d drive 4–5 hours each way to get to the properties.
It was exhausting. But looking back…those drives were important.
The whole drive I would listen to podcasts and audiobooks.
And over time, something started to shift.
Not just what I knew… but how I saw myself.
I stopped thinking like someone trying to invest in real estate… and started thinking like an investor.
Those hours added up.
And they changed the trajectory of my life in a big way.
So if you’re in a season right now that feels hard…or slow…or inconvenient…
Ask yourself:
Where can you stack something valuable into your day?
What can you learn while you’re driving, walking, working out?
What could you be feeding your mind during the in-between moments?
Because those “in-between” moments might actually be the thing that moves you forward the most.
